Tangela earned a B.A. in English (2008) and a M.Ed. in English Education (2010). She also earned a Women’s and Gender Studies graduate certificate from our department in the spring of 2014. Tangela has been with USF Since 2011, and she has enjoyed every moment! She was previously a GA in the English department. During her free time, Tangela listens to music, reads, and works on her dissertation. Her research interests are contemporary African American women authors, Black feminist theory, Womanist theory, and friendship theology.
